1. Who operates Fareplan

Fareplan is owned and operated by Nicholas Alexander Harris, also known as Alex Harris, doing business as Fareplan. In these Terms, “Fareplan,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that service and operator. Questions may be sent to [email protected].

2. Agreement and eligibility

By creating or using a Fareplan account, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Fareplan only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Fareplan is currently invite-only, and an invitation does not transfer to another person.

3. Your account

You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your password, and activity performed through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe an account or credential has been compromised. We may lock an account while investigating a security concern.

4. Permission to use the service

Subject to these Terms, Fareplan grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the hosted service for your own lawful planning. This permission does not transfer ownership of the service or its source code and does not include a right to resell or sublicense Fareplan.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of information and content you submit. You give Fareplan only the permission reasonably needed to host, process, secure, display, back up, and transmit that content to provide features you request. That permission ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to limited backup, security, legal, and fraud-prevention retention described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Meal generation and third-party services

When you request AI meal planning, Fareplan sends a scoped planning request to OpenAI. Generated material may be incomplete, inaccurate, unsuitable, or unsafe for your circumstances. Review ingredients, allergy constraints, preparation methods, and nutritional suitability before relying on generated material. OpenAI and other service providers apply their own terms to their services.

7. Wellness information, not medical advice

Fareplan is a general planning tool. It does not provide medical, nutritional, psychological, diagnostic, or emergency advice and is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Do not use Fareplan to diagnose or treat a condition. If you may be experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services.

8. Prohibited use

You may not:

• break the law, infringe another person’s rights, or submit unlawful content;
• probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with security or account limits;
• access another person’s account or data without authorization;
• scrape the service or use automated access without written permission;
• copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, or create a competing service from Fareplan’s proprietary material, except where applicable law cannot be excluded;
• introduce malware or interfere with the service or its providers; or
• use generated output without reviewing it for safety and suitability.

9. Ownership

Fareplan’s original software, interface, documentation, designs, and original assets are owned by Nicholas Alexander Harris and are proprietary. Third-party components remain owned by their respective owners and are governed by their own licenses. No right to use the Fareplan name or branding is granted except to identify the service.

10. Suspension and termination

You may request account deletion through the service. We may suspend, lock, or end access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, service integrity, or a material violation of these Terms. Where appropriate, support will explain the account state and available next steps.

11. Availability and changes

Fareplan may change, pause, or discontinue features and may occasionally be unavailable. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update these Terms as Fareplan changes. An updated version and effective date will be published, and signed-in account holders will receive an in-app notice of changes that meaningfully affect use of the service. Continuing to use Fareplan after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. Future policy revisions use this notice process rather than another checkbox or sign-in gate.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fareplan is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, or accuracy. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fareplan and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost opportunities, or decisions made from generated or user-entered information. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory rights that apply because of where you live remain unaffected.
